CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE EXHIBITION. painters TUBES gallery have now mounted the special extensive showing of aquarelles and oil paintings created by the English born Artist Denis Taylor (now working and living in Ekeröd (near Bassholma) Ängelholm (Studio 5). The artist who is now approaching his 75th year sketched and drew the islands of Vaxholm, Rindö, Resarö and more from November 1994 to May 1996 whilst visiting his future wife, Marianne Arnberg. The artist had his studio in Greece on the island of Aegina which he extablished in 1988. He remained there and working at his Manchester (UK) studio from 1986 onwards and in 1993 met Marianne whilst she was on a working holiday in Greece.
Denis and Marianne eventually spent many months together and the artist held his first two exhibitions of his Greek paintings in Stockholm in 1994-1995. The ‘Blue Path paintings from the archipelago was held first in the Eden centre Stockholm, then the Karolinska Institure (terminal ward) and also in Krut Gallery, Kastellett, Vaxholm at the WORK Now 1996 exhibition which ran for three months. Denis also curated and exhibited the Kliver Ut exhibition at the Rindö Gallery, Rindö island in 1998 and later headed the After 5 Year project for the Swedish Governments Estonia Trust Fund and the Internataional Disaster Organisation (DIS) Sweden. This culminated in the 2002 Heart 2 Art Exhibition held at the Stenige Palace Kultur Centre, Stockholm. Denis and Marianne moved to Southern Sweden in 2002 where he established Studio 5 Ängelholm wher he also exhibited his and artists friends art from his own collection.
